Presentation Description

Brenda believes that great photography is a marriage of craft and vision – that you can’t have one without the other. Yet to have an image to ‘craft’ you must have vision first. This webinar will discuss both sides of that equation while Brenda share her ideas and images. She will discuss the importance of following your own inner voice to develop a personal approach to your photography. “Each of us sees the world through the filters of our own life experiences, and those ‘filters’ are what make each of us unique in how we see and how we relate to the world around us. It is vital to believe our own vision, and to celebrate it by photographing the things that resonate with our heart and sharing those images.”

Believing also that once you have vision, you need to figure out how to translate your vision and feelings into an image that works, Brenda will also discuss key concepts that, when applied, help to make photographs that are more expressive, from landscapes to close-ups to wildlife. She will be sharing images from all those areas of nature photography, to illustrate her ideas and philosophies, including topics such as:

  • Clarifying your vision
  • Recording vs. creating
  • Creating compelling compositions
  • Expressing depth
  • Revealing the intimate landscape
  • Seeing the abstract
  • Revealing nature’s design
  • Capturing gesture
